Archive Restore Rehearsal helps catalogue folders and record a limited restore spot check. It does not create a backup, repair files, manage RAID, or guarantee future recovery.

Read-only operation

The app requests read access to folders you choose. “Remove map” and “Erase local map” affect records in this browser.

Identity and hash limits

Drive names and saved folder handles are fallible. Confirm the physical label, folder name, expected size, and catalogue fingerprint. A successful sample proves only that sampled files were readable and matched their recorded SHA-256 values at that time.

One-time unlock

The optional Archive keeper unlock costs US$29 once. It enables unlimited mapped locations and adjustable rehearsal sizes. Core scanning, three-file drills, data export/import, and accessibility remain free. Checkout is provided by Sociobot/Dodo as merchant of record. Refunds are handled there; a refund revokes the license.

No warranty

The software is provided “as is,” without warranty. The repository MIT License governs the software.
